How to Make My Fruit Rainbow Inspired by With Love, Meghan
A fruit rainbow is the perfect treat if you’re looking for a fun and colourful way to enjoy fresh fruit!

Inspired by With Love, Meghan, I recently made my own version, which was beautiful and incredibly refreshing. This vibrant dish is ideal for parties, brunches, or even as a fun way to encourage kids (or yourself!) to eat more fruit. Plus, it’s easy to make and can be paired with a yogurt dip for extra flavour.
In this post, I’ll walk you through creating a fruit rainbow, from selecting the best fresh fruit to arranging it in a perfect rainbow shape.

What You’ll Need to Make a Fruit Rainbow
Ingredients:
To create a full rainbow effect, you’ll need a variety of red fruit, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, and purples. You can be creative and use whatever fruit you have in, it doesn’t have to be perfect!
Here’s what I used:
Red: Strawberries, raspberries, or red grapes
Orange: Orange slices or mango chunks
Yellow: Pineapple or banana slices (lightly brushed with lemon juice to prevent browning)
Green: Green grapes or kiwi slices
Blue: Blueberries
Purple: Purple grapes
Extras for Serving:
A yogurt dip can also be used for the clouds (plain or flavoured with honey and vanilla)
Small cookie cutters for shaping fruit (optional but fun!)
Airtight containers to store leftovers
How to Make Your Fruit Rainbow
Step 1: Wash & Prep the Fruit
Start by washing all the fresh fruit thoroughly. Red grapes, purple grapes, and blueberries should be rinsed well and patted dry. If you’re using apples or bananas, squeeze a little lemon juice over them to prevent them from browning.
Step 2: Slice & Shape the Fruit
Cut larger fruits like mangoes, pineapples, and kiwis into bite-sized pieces. If you want to make your fruit salad extra fun, use a cookie cutter to create shapes from melon or pineapple slices.
Step 3: Arrange in a Rainbow Shape
On a large serving platter or board, arrange the fruit in a rainbow shape, starting with red fruit at the top and working your way down to purple grapes at the bottom.
Step 4: Add a Yogurt Dip
For a delicious touch, serve your fruit rainbow with a simple yogurt dip. Just mix plain yogurt with a drizzle of honey and a splash of vanilla for a naturally sweet pairing. I chose to use bananas for my clouds as I didn’t have any yogurt in. Try to be creative and use what you have!
Step 5: Store Any Leftovers
If you have leftovers, store them in airtight containers in the fridge. They’ll stay fresh for a few days, making them perfect for snacking later.

The Perfect Fun & Healthy Treat!
This fruit rainbow isn’t just pretty; it’s a refreshing, healthy treat that makes eating fruit feel special. You might be serving it at a party, creating a colourful fruit salad for brunch, or adding joy to your day, either way, this easy recipe is a must-try.
