Molby The Label is quickly becoming a favourite among slow fashion brand enthusiasts. Known for their handmade items, Molby dresses are crafted with care and attention to detail, making each piece feel unique and personal.
With standout features like a puff sleeve and an oversized collar. Their dresses are perfect for those who love experimenting with their style.
The brand wanted to create beautiful, fun, affordable garments, which could be dressed up or down for every occasion.
They have certainly brought that vision to life.
About Molby The Label the Brand
Molby The Label is a handmade-to-order slow fashion brand, founded by designer Karina Molby.
They create high-quality, timeless pieces that can become part of a capsule wardrobe and be worn for years to come.
They aim to encourage consumers to be more conscious when buying clothing and hope by creating high-quality slow fashion, they can work towards eliminating the fast fashion market.
Molby The Label’s presence on platforms like Instagram and TikTok – make discovering their latest drops easy. They showcase their ability to stay current while maintaining their slow fashion ethos.
Members of the HURR marketplace can often find Molby pieces in the top lender wardrobes, a testament to their desirability and quality. Plus many secondhand websites like Vinted or The Cirkel now stock Molby dresses, some even being sold with their original tags, in the original box and original packaging!!

How is Molby The Label sustainable?
At Molby The Label each piece is handmade to order, this allows their customers to make changes to their designs. They also offer an option for custom sizing, meaning their designs will fit everybody. I changed the colour of the sleeves from pink to blue on my ‘Tilda’ dress (shown above).
If you are considering purchasing a dress from Molby The label, you should expect a wait of up to 21 days for delivery times. The process takes time, from designing the products to pattern cutting and sourcing local fabrics. Then sew and label all the garments and packaging and then post them to their customers. Their shipping service is available worldwide which is amazing!
It is all completed by a small and talented team at Molby and is worth the wait!
If you need a new Molby item, sooner than the standard 3 weeks, they have recently introduced an ‘in stock’ section on their website. As a slow fashion brand, these pieces will be produced in smaller volumes than other standard fashion retailers. This results in less waste and a lower carbon footprint.
When you shop with a small fashion brand like Molby The Label the process is completely transparent. You know where the products originate, who makes your clothes and what they are made from. A positive impact of fashion in my opinion!
What did I think?
Image of myself wearing ‘Stella’
The ‘Stella’ Dress
The first Molby The Label dress I wore was ‘Stella’. I rented this dress from HURR Collective for 4 days.
The dress was stunning, it fit me perfectly and the print of the fabric was so different from anything I had worn before.
I wore this dress with casual black vans and a cardigan! But it is versatile and could be worn with chunky boots or dressed up with heels. A very successful rental!

The ‘Tilda’ Dress (green & blue)

I loved the ‘Stella’ dress so much that I went back for more! I loved this green and blue chequered print so I decided to rent the ‘Tilda’ dress from HURR Collective again.
The fact these dresses are rented regularly proves how well made they are to last!
It fit like a glove (again) and I wore it for a wedding with some deep red strappy heels from Carvela and my signature red lip. Another successful rental!
The ‘Tilda’ Dress (pastel)
The third dress I have worn by Molby The Label is the ‘Tilda’ in pastel.
The original dress has pink sleeves and a pink/purple waistband.
Personally, pink isn’t my colour but I just loved this design too much to not get it! So, I bought a customised design in a UK size 8 and chose blue sleeves instead, it arrived in excellent condition and I was so happy with it.
Is Molby The Label worth the money?
In my opinion, if you are looking at purchasing a Molby dress as a long-lasting piece in your wardrobe then they are most definitely worth the money.
For a handmade in-the-UK dress, I actually think the prices are very reasonable. Dresses should be something you treasure, save for and wear many times. They shouldn’t be an impulse purchase you just throw away after one wear.
If you want a dress for a one-off occasion then I would suggest either renting your dress as mentioned above or trying to purchase one secondhand which are both great options.
Would I recommend Molby The Label?
Yes, I would recommend Molby The Label.
I received so many compliments on all 3 dresses and was so proud to tell them where they were from. To know you are wearing clothes made by a small team of people who care about people and the planet feels amazing.
Overall, I am very impressed with this brand Molby The Label is a standout slow fashion brand that combines style, sustainability, and excellent customer service.
Whether you’re looking for your next purchase or your next order, Molby the Label ensures that each item is in condition new, providing a second-hand experience that feels first-class. And it is worth the wait!
