Wild Natural Deodorant Review
When I first heard about βnatural deodorantβ I have to admit I was a bit sceptical. The thought of changing from my Dove roll-on deodorant that I had used for years made me feel uncomfortable. Iβm not joking, I thought I would sweat more and smell bad if my deodorant was natural!
Anyway, since I started to use more natural products and reduced my use of toxic chemicals around the house I decided to give this eco-friendly deodorant a go.
So far, I have tried a few different natural deodorants, I’m not a massively sweaty person but some brands I tried werenβt so great, some were ok and then there was Wild. If you have read any of my sustainable brand reviews you will know I only recommend brands or specific products that I truly love and use myself.
I have been using Wild for around 12 months so, quite a long time and I feel I have a pretty good idea about the product. So, letβs get into the reviewβ¦

A bit about Wild (the brand)
Wild natural deodorant is an eco-friendly personal care brand that was founded in 2019. Millions of bathroom products are thrown away every year and its mission is to reduce the amount of waste created by throwaway bathroom products whilst offering natural and sustainable products. Wild says they create high-performing deodorant made from natural ingredients that have been scientifically proven to provide 24 hours of protection from body odour.
As a brand, they are committed to eco-friendly practices, reducing plastic waste and only using natural ingredients. Wild has a range of products including refillable deodorants, shampoo bars and soaps. Their zero waste products are made from plants, with no nasty aluminium salts, parabens or sulphates. All of their formulas are certified vegan and cruelty-free.
What products do Wild offer?
Wild offers a range of personal care products that include:
Natural deodorant (including a reusable aluminium case)
A range of scents in refillable cases
Mini deodorants
Body wash
Soap bars
Shampoo bars
Wild offers several designs for the reusable wild case including a limited edition range. Above is a picture of my βmirrorβ refillable case. I pop it in my bag to use it as a mirror when Iβm out and about. 2 birds etc.
There are so many different scents plus a few signature scents available. These include 13 regular scents and 9 sensitive scents in Wild’s sensitive range. These deodorants are packed full of the finest natural ingredients. I use mine every day and a single refill will last 4-6 weeks!
My favourite wild fragrance is Mint & Aloe vera. But I also love the fresh Cotton & Sea Salt and Orange & Neroli. There are also scents like Salted Caramel Popcorn and Chocolate Fondue. Personally, I like to stick to fresher scents but you may like to try out something a bit wackier.
I havenβt tried the soaps but below is a picture of their shampoo bar. They offer one scent of shampoo bar, Coconut & Vanilla. I have to say the smell is divine! If you donβt like vanilla, it may not be for you, but this sweet, strong-smelling shampoo bar is right up my street. I havenβt found it strips my hair colour too which is great.
How is Wild Natural Deodorant Sustainable?
Wild appears to have a strong commitment to sustainability.
Here are a few ways the brand is sustainable:
- Each piece of packaging they use is free from single-use plastic.
- The postage & packaging can easily be reused or can be recycled.
- The reusable deodorant applicator is made from aluminium that will last a lifetime.
- The compostable deodorant refills are entirely plastic-free and are made using bamboo pulp which is 100% recyclable and home-compostable.
- Every time you buy from Wild, you help grow the Wild forest. The brand has a partnership with ONAMISSION. By planting more trees, they hope to become carbon-negative. So far they have planted over 300,000 trees!
How cool is that?
What ingredients are used? Are they all-natural?
All the ingredients are as natural as possible, and the aluminium-free deodorant base is made from the very best ingredients without parabens, aluminium or sulphates.
Some of them include:
Tapioca Starch
Baking Soda (They also have a baking soda free range)
Sunflower Seed Wax
Sunflower Seed Oil
Coconut Oil
Shea Butter
Rice Starch (Baking soda free range)
Check out their full ingredients list and details of what they do here.
How much does it cost?
The cost depends on which plan you decide to go for. There is the option of a one-time purchase or a subscription package.
The one-off purchase costs Β£25 and you will receive 1 reusable case and 3 refillable deodorant refills worth Β£28. They also sell them in local supermarkets like Tesco. The refills are around Β£6 but you may be able to get them on an offer which I have seen in the supermarkets before.
How does the subscription work?
1: Choose a starter pack for just Β£12. You’ll then get a reusable case and the first refill in your favourite scent.
2: A month later, you’ll be charged Β£15 for a pack of three refills, each refill is just Β£5 rather than Β£6. Wild likes to send them in packs of three to minimize packaging and ensure you’re stocked up for around three months for daily use.
3: If you like this option, you’ll be charged Β£15 every 8-14 weeks, depending on your chosen schedule.
They even send you a reminder email a couple of days before any charges in case you’re like me and forget what money is coming out each month.
I think the subscription is super flexible as you can adjust the delivery schedule and scents every month to fit your needs.
My Thoughts
Here is my honest review of Wild:
My experience
The deodorant so far has been great. The time taken to receive the refills has been super quick and the products have always arrived in perfect condition.
You can buy Wild products from stores like Tesco, Boots and Sainsbury’s if you donβt want to subscribe monthly but I choose to buy a one-time purchase from the Wild website as I donβt have much time to go shopping at the moment.
The price
Initially, I thought the price seemed a bit high, but once you have purchased your case youβre set for life.
I had a look online and they are a similar price or only slightly higher to other deodorants on the high street. Plus, the sustainability factor for me trumps the extra spending at the beginning.
The product
The deodorant is very easy to use and I love that the mirrored case is so useful and looks attractive in my bag. I love that all the packaging is eco-friendly and doesn’t use single-use plastics. I love the scents and how creamy the product feels under my arms, no stickiness at all.
After much worry about whether wild deodorant would work, Iβm so pleased with the results. I stay dry all day and if I were to go for a run I probably would sweat a little more than usual but the smell is fresh and it doesnβt last long. I do sometimes get white marks if I wear black clothes but it isn’t anything I wouldn’t have got from my old deodorant.
The shampoo bar is said to last 60-70 washes depending on how much you lather your hair. Iβm not sure how accurate this is as I have used it around 8 times and it has decreased in size every wash. I donβt think I overly lather my hair and donβt have thick hair either. Β£8.50 per bar is a little expensive for around 15-20 washes but if you use it sparingly you may have a different result.
If you need help changing your refills check out their video on YouTube.
Would I recommend Wild Natural Deodorant?
Yes. 100%
I definitely recommend Wild to everyone and anyone I know. I honestly believe this product is one of the best eco-swaps I have made to date. The product itself is brilliant and works so well, but not only that it has saved me around 7 cans of deodorant in the past 7 months.
If you are interested in trying to make small changes for the environment or want to use a natural deodorant with fewer chemicals for your health, then I would give Wild a go.
I hope you enjoy the product as much as me. Let me know if you give it a go or already use Wild and what you think of it in the comments!
